England's answer to reggae, UB40 found success in the mid 1980s with a slew of Pop Reggae efforts including "Red Red Wine."
UB40 is the name of Britain's unemployment benefit form. A fitting name for a band who formed while in line for the dole.
The band purchased its instruments with compensation money Ali Campbell received after being involved in a bar fight.
UB40 actually boasts quite a diverse makeup, with members claiming Jamaican, Irish, Scottish and Yemeni heritages.
