A dance Funk outfit formed by three brothers, the Gap Band have been actively recording and touring since the mid 1970s. The Gap Band has released more than fifteen albums and scored several Top 10 hits. The Gap Band are best known for dancefloor classics like "You Dropped A Bomb On Me," "Shake," and "Burn Rubber." The Wilson brothers were sons of a Pentecostal minister. They named their band for Tulsa's thriving black business district. The group formed in 1967 with the three Wilson brothers and Tuck Andress (later of Tuck and Patti).
