Born and raised in Detroit, Obie Trice was put on by fellow D town rapper Eminem, who signed him to his Shady Records label. Before his debut LP, Obie appeared on the D12's "Devil's Night," Em's "The Eminem Show," and the "8 Mile" soundtrack. Obie scored a minor hit with his comical first solo single, "Got Some Teeth," in early 2004. Obie Trice started rhyming on a karaoke machine his mom bought for him.
