Motion City Soundtrack is a punk inspired quintet who make crunchy, commercially viable pop music. Like Prince and Dr. Demento, MCS hail from Minneapolis, Minn., which is known as the "City of Lakes." The band self released their debut, "I Am the Movie," in 2002. It was quickly picked up and rereleased by Epitaph. MCS' second album, "Commit This to Memory," was produced by blink 182 bassist Mark Hoppus. The band has been a part of the Warped Tour, the fist ever Epitaph Tour and a world tour with blink 182.
