After a short stint with a Raleigh, N.C. cover band, Jason Michael Carroll won the local TV talent contest Gimme the Mike. After appearing on Gimme The Mike, Carroll was discovered by Rusty Harmon, manager of Hootie and the Blowfish. He writes songs with Radney Foster, Jeffrey Steele, Terry McBride, Jim Beavers, Monty Powell, Tom Shapiro and Kelly Lovelace.
