Fronted by celebrity rock widow Courtney Love, Hole was one of the more visible alt rock bands of the ' 90s.
Hole's ascent (or descent?) from confrontational punk to commercial alternative rock was a hard thing to ignore.
Hole's 1994 album "Live Through This" came out one week after the suicide of Love's husband, Kurt Cobain. It went platinum.
The album originally included a song with the line "How would you like to be Nirvana? I' d rather die." It was removed.
Released in 1998, "Celebrity Skin" was Hole's final album. Courtney Love has since been in and out of hospitals and rehab. Find all your favorite Hole ringtones and Hole realtones below.
