Bananarama are the most successful British female act in pop music history. Bananarama's cover of "Venus" by Shocking Blue went to No. 1 in 1986. Siobhan Fahey left Bananarama in 1987 shortly after marrying the Eurythmics' Dave Stewart. Believe it or not, this fluffy girl group was discovered by Sex Pistols drummer Paul Cook, who produced their first single. Terry Hall invited the girls to sing on, "T' ain' t What You Do (It's the Way that You Do It)," a hit for the Specials in 1983.
