Long before the word "poseur" was invented, a band from London called itself America and sang songs about Los Angeles. America actually were American, but they lived in the U.K. because their dads were stationed there at a U.S. Air Force base. America were criticized for copying Neil Young when "A Horse With No Name" bumped Young's "Heart of Gold" off the charts. The cover artwork on "History: America's Greatest Hits" was created by "Saturday Night Live" star Phil Hartman.
